Express entry consists of two major phases:

Interested candidates submit an online profile on IRCC (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada) website, and the federal government determines the eligibility of the candidate. Eligible candidates are a

An express entry profile can be valid for up to a year. If, after this time, a candidate does not receive an ITA, they can resubmit their profile, if they are still eligible. However, if found ineligible, the candidate needs to create a new profile because an ineligible profile is no longer valid, so it can't be changed, even with new information. To be eligible for express entry, a candidate must meet the criteria of at least one of the federal economic immigration programs.
