Different pathways to obtaining a Canadian Permanent Residency

Have you been longing to be a permanent resident in Canada? We have outlined a few programs that most immigrants use to enter Canada and gain residency. Although Canada offers a variety of pathways to obtain permanent residency, also known as PR. Here are the most popular pathways:

This is a federal program that manages applications for permanent residence for skilled workers. It is a points-based system that takes into account factors such as age, language proficiency, education, and work experience. If you meet the minimum points requirement, you can enter the Express Entry pool, where you will be ranked against other candidates. The highest-scoring candidates are then invited to apply for PR.

It targets skilled workers and international graduates who have a job offer from a designated employer in one of the participating provinces.


Caregiver Program:

The Caregiver Program allows foreign nationals to work in Canada as caregivers for children, elderly individuals, or people with medical needs. After working for 12 months in Canada, caregivers can apply for permanent residency.


Quebec Immigration Programs:

Quebec has its own immigration programs, which are managed separately from the federal programs. Quebec selects its own immigrants based on its own criteria and priorities.
